1. Choose a Race
The playable races in this campaign differ slightly from those listed in the Player’s Handbook. Several races have changed abilities and/or have new subraces available. Tiefling and Dragonborn are not available to play, while Orc and Half-Dwarf are player options. Please see Races for more info.
2. Choose a Class
All classes in the Player’s Handbook are options for player characters, but your choice in class may have a major impact on how you operate in the world, may restrict your choice of race and may have a different flavor than presented in the Player’s Handbook. Please see the Classes page for more info.
3. Ability Scores
You may choose to use the Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) or the point buy system.
4. Starting Equipment
Barbarian – Shortsword or Longsword, Dagger or Club
Bard – Longsword or Club, Dagger, Leather Armor, Lute or Other Musical Instrument
Cleric – Mace, Light Crossbow with 20 bolts or Dagger or Club, Leather or Chain Armor, Shield and Holy Symbol
Druid – Dagger or Club
